Sound traveler of psychedelic vibrations
Born in 1971 in France, DJ Arawak began his musical journey in the Caribbean, performing in a cabaret in Martinique under the direction of the legendary Jobby Barnabé, head of the island’s musical corps. There, he crossed paths with numerous well-known artists across a variety of genres such as dub, acoustic, zouk, and techno.
Eventually drawn to the hypnotic power of psytrance, Arawak found his true calling in the realms of full-on, progressive, and psygressive sounds. He started collaborating with collectives like Mans?Antares, and performed at events hosted by Shiva Project, Tama Gochi, Trance Me Cible, TTR, and Love Tunnel, especially around Strasbourg.
His path led him across borders — to Portugal with Electrik Tribes, and even as far as India, where his sets took on a deeper, spiritual resonance.
Always evolving and tuned into the cosmic frequencies, DJ Arawak continues to share his sound around the world.
